REFUSES TO PAY TAXES. EXCUSE NOT ACCEPTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 14, 10.15 p.m. Amsterdam,' July 13. The Kaiser has refused to pay municipal taxes amounting to 5000 guilders, on the ground that he had not established himself at Doorn of his own free will. The Doom Council could not accept the protest, remarking that the Kaiser was quite free to remove to another part of the province.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
