(From Our Own Correspondent. I A demonstration was given in Ingie« wood on Wednesday to show the vah.q of “K.or-ker puncture cure” to motoris/S and all who use pneumatic tvres. Thd demonstration was under the care of Messrs. Taylor and Roberts, of this? town, so.le distributing agents for Taranaki for this valuable adjunct to the motor owner’s outfit. It is understood that demonstrations are also to be given at Eltham, Upunake and Waitara. The entertainment given in the Parish Hall on Monday in aid of the St. Andrew’s Girls’ Guild was well attended, and the organisers can take to the nselves that most satisfactory of assurances—they scored a success, and theiU audience knew they deserved it. Tha I first part of the programme v/ 'si rendered almost entirely by membtrs ofi the gentler sex—only two items in actual fact were allotted to mere and though male parts in some numbers had to be enacted by some of vhe girl performers, they took those parts suj well’that they left nothing to be desired, The programme opened for the ffrsfl part with a violin duet by Misses W. Esse and E. Julian, and was followed by a vocal duet, Misses Rainerton anJ Surrey; dance, Miss E. McAUum; cboius* “Let the rest of the world”; young lad« members of the guild; song Mr. W. IL Smith; young and old. maid , tjy six se* lected lady vocalists; song, Mi. Dutch dance by girls; violin duet, Misses? ,Julian and Esse; song by Miss Giddvy recitation, Miss E. Julian; song. Miss Gemhoefer; dance, in character. Missed E. Hamerton and B. Esse concluded will* “Wyoming Lullaby,” in cork shades. After a short interval friendly talent from Norfolk Road played the farce, ■Turn him out,” and so effectually <li<t they perform and so vividly portray Jha characters assumed by them that ;t i* vet an unanswered query how they man« aged to avoid fuming him inside <Ht., The whole evening s programme w: s gone through without a hitch. All their best, and if encores and applaud are to be taken as signs of approval tU audience must certainty had been u I pleased.
