SCHOOL AGRICULTURE. EXPERIMENTAL TESTS. Second experiment, variety used Sutton’s Long' Red. Yield per acre; Super, 27 tons 8 cwt; Super and bone dust, 34 tons lOcwt.; Super and Ephos, 25 tons 13cwt.; Super, Ephes, and pot. sulp., 22 tons 3cwt.; Super, Ephos and amm. sul., 24 tons llcwt.; control (no manure), 6 tons; Basic Super, 20 tons 15 cwt.; Basic Slag, 12 tons 4cwt.; Guano, 23 tons scwt.; bone dust, 27 tons 9cwt.; control (no manure), 16 tons Bcwt.; Gillander’s mixture, 29 tons ITcwt. On the whole the experiments have been nf some- considerable value to the boys taking the class, though the difficulties met with owing to the overgrowth of weeds during the school summer vacation have demonstrated the necessity for some assistance during that period.
