WEDDING.
TYNAN—SALTER. A very pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Andrew’s Church, Waverley, on Wednesday, the contracting parties being Miss Irene C. A. Salter, eldest daughter of Mrs. J. Salter, and Mr. Albert Tynan, of Pungarehu. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautifully, made dress of silk net (silver embroidery over white silk), with side panels and train joined on to a pinafore bodice, the whole being trimmed with pearl beads. She also wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, held in place by a string of pearl beads. She was attended by Miss Alice Bell (New Plymouth), who wore a pink crepe de chine dress braided with gold braid, and a black pan-velvet hat trimmed with touches of pink. Little Master Lawson (Patea), nephew of the bride, dressed in black satin, made a very smart train-bearer, whilst the Misses I. and H. Watty (twin nieces of the bride), wearing pink goffered silk dresses with hats to match, were charming little flower girls. Mr. D. Nicholls attended the groom as best man. After the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. Mr. Mclvor, close on sixty friends sat down to the wedding breakfast in the supper room of the Town Hall, when the usual toasts were duly honored. The happy couple left by train for Marton, en route to Auckland, where the honeymoon will be spent, the bride wearing a brown waiated tailor-made costume and. picture hat.
