DOCK EXTENSION.

A GREAT WORK. OPENED BY THE KING. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, July 7. Their Majesties are opening the new doak, extending the Victoria and Albert system, to-morrow. It is the largest work so far undertaken by the Port of London Authority. It will enable 30,000-ton vessels to berth within 6£ miles of the heart of the city. It provides -a wet dock of 64 acres, with a of 38 feet. There are 14 berths lor the largest steamers, also a dry dock 750 feet long, and capable of extension. —Reuter.
