CORRESPONDENCE.

MR. FARMER. JQEAR SIR, —You will no doubt be visiting Hawera during the present week. While at the Show, you will agree with me that it W’ould be of great advantage to you to learn how to keep your herd healthy during the coining season. 5 '

You may remember that during an address delivered to the Jersey Breeders’ Association by Mr. W. R. Wood, M.R.C.V.S., on November 30, 1920, he stressed the fact that it was a “bad practice” for farmers to use medicines indiscriminately. In the course of that address he said:—

“A true study of medicine is iqipos sible without a knowledge of bacteriol ogy.”

“Cattle doctors are not qualified veterinary surgeons, properly trained.” “1 am a great believer in preventive measures, as preventive medicines are of prime importance.”

At the Show you will find ft display of the late Major C. R. Neale’s Veterinary Medicines. As you know, the late Major Neale was a fully qualified veterinary surgeon of high standing, having gained his degree as M.R.C.V.S. at Edinburgh University. You will be gratified to learn that, although his services are now lost to the farmers of the district, his remedies are still available for their use.

The efficacy of Neale’s Remedies is testified to by Mr G. F, Moore, the wellknown breeder residing at “Bushy Park,” Kai Iwi. He says:—

“I have much pleasure in testifying to the efficacy of the latq Major Neale’s Remedies, and can confidently recommend them to anyone whotie stock require treatment within their seojje. I consider that by Major Neale’s death this coast sustained a very great loss.— (Signed) G. F. Moore.” Neale’s Remedies are Tnanufactured solely by the undersigned, who will have much pleasure in introducing them at the Show to any visitors who are not already familiar with them.

Yourfe Faithfully, R. E. C. DOWLING, M.P.S., Qualified Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Chemist, High Street, Hawera,
