THIS IS WHAT APPEALS

STRAIGHT OUT DEPOSIT MONEY “This is what appeals to me. I’m ft small investor. I don’t have to bothei; about income tax. I’m taking my little bit out of the savings bank, where I only get 4 per cent., and putting it with the Farmers’ Co-op. at 8 per cent.* So said a Taranaki small farmer on Saturday, after reading the Farmers’ Co* op. advertisement in the paper inviting deposits up to five years. This opportunity of making spare money earn the biggest rate of interest, combined with perfect safety of the principal, will also appeal to other small investors. They do not need to worry about their security, for it is right by them, backed by the judgment of the Farmers’ Co-op. directors (all men with substantial stakes in the province, and having the interests of the province at heart), not to speak of the quarter of a million subscribed capital of the company. Don’t be misled about the Farmers’ i Co-op. It has done and is doing great work for the farmers of Taranaki, and its financial position is eminently strong. The directors can utilise further capital 1 in the development of the province, which is the reason for appealing for de- . posit money at 8 per cent. Hundreds of ( farmers require further capital, and thd • Society desires to help them. Don’t send your share capital outside. It is all needed here. By sending it away you cannot do any better than by placing it on deposit here. If you send it away, Taranaki will retrogress instead of progress. You can help your province best by investing your moneyin the Farmers’ Co-op., which in turnip will .be in a position to lend it to farm*] ers against the best securities. Show your faith in Taranaki by keep- J ing your money here and make it earrtj the highest rate of interest, consistent with absolute safety. Remember that Taranaki is not subject to drought, and that its staple products are always certain to command 4 payable prices. The bottom can never drop out of it, as unfortunately is tha experience of certain other parts of tha Dominion at the present time. Read the latest London prices for butter and cheese, the foundations of Taranaki’s soundness and prosperity. The province can never look back, if We all work hard*, pull together, and use our money to develop its wonderful latent resources.

Cash or cheques will be received af the head office, Hawera, or at any of thdp Society’s branches. ?
