WATERSIDERS’ RISKS. B> Telegraph. —Press Association. Invercargill, July 2. At the inquest on the body of Alexander Kellander, who was injured through a sling of timber breaking during the unloading of the Westralia, the jury found that the cause of the accident was the breaking of a defective link in a chain. As a rider to verdict the jury suggested that a conference of waterside employers and employees be held to devise means of minimising the danger to workers. COAL RESTRICTIONS RELAXED. Wellington, July 2. In view of the improved coal supplies of the Dominion the Coal Trade Committee has decided to relax the regulations so far as the issuing of supplies by coal dealers is concerned. The committee has decided to allow dealers to accept orders without any restrictions as to quantity.
