EXCHANGE OF PULPITS. Br Tei-er-r.:..—Pr«s AuodstiM. Wanganui, Last Night. The president of the New Zealand Methodist Church (the Rev. W. Trigg) yesterday telegraphed the right Rev. Bishop of Nelson: “On behalf of the New Zealand Methodist Church and myself kindly accept the expression ol our high appreciation of your fraternal spirit in connection with the recent exchange ff pulpits in your city.” SALE OF POISONS DEFECTS. Wellington, June 29. A deputation of the Pharmacy Board Waited on the Minister of Health with suggestions for amending the Sale of Poisons Act. It was mentioned that New Zealand, with the exception of ’Booth Australia, was the most lax country in the world in this regard. The Minister agreed that this unenviable position should be rectified and fave general support, provided it was anderstcod that farmers’ interests with regard to agricultural and horticultural poisons and sheep dip were not prejudiced. The deputation assured him that nothing of this kind was intended, provided the storekeeper secured the signature of the buyer.
