(From Our Own Correspondent.) June 27. A euchre party and dance arranged by the Inglewood Football Club in aid of the club funds was held in the Town Hall on Thursday last, and, as is usual with such gatherings promoted by the club, largely attended. The euchre players occupied eleven tables, and when time was called and the scores taken the following prize-winners were declared: Ladies: Mrs. A. Codd 1, Mrs. F. Julian 2, Mrs. A. Lile booby’s prize; gentlemen: Mr. Blackburn 1, Mr. Schreder 2, and Mr. Gidder booby’s prize. Miss A. Curd’s popular orchestra supplied music for the dancers, who, under the direction of Mr. P. Chapman as M.C., kept the floor occupied till past midnight. The supper provided reflected credit on those in charge. The whole function was a and the club will benefit to the tune of £lO. At Newton King, Ltd.’s mart sale on Saturday there was a fair attendance in spite of the stormy weather.
