DEATH OF A CHILD.

DURING TRAIN JOURNEY. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Stratford, Last Night. The death of a child named Alma Lilian Bunting, aged 14 months, occurred in a train near Pohokura on Saturday, while the child was being brought to the Stratford hospital for medical treatment. She had been ill for three days at her parents* residence at Tahora and was brought to Whangamomona, where the district nurse was consulted. Gn the nurse’s advice the mother was taking the child to the Stratford hospital, and when near Pohokura the child died.
