VISIT GF ENGLISH TEAM. PROPOSED DOMINION TOUR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. A proposal to have a visit from an English amateur team formed the subject of discussion at to-night’s meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council. Judging from the tone of the discussion the general opinion was that the visit should be assured for the coming season, Mr. I. C. Raphael said he understood at least two associations (Auckland and Otago) were not favorable to any visit next season. Eventually it was decided to adjourn the meeting till Monday next, when a circular letter to -the major associations pointing out the aims of the tour, the approximate cost and the itinerary will be considered.
