MAN DROPS DEAD. By Telegraph. —Pre** Association Wellington, Last Night. Hugh Sim, a single man, aged 42, dropped dead in Lambton Quay shortly after five o’clock to-night. Deceased was employed by John Chambers and Son as a despatch clerk. SCHOOLMISTRESS INJURED. Taumarunui, June 23. A young woman named Fauchelle, a school teacher, while crossing the railway yards on her way to school this morning, was knocked down by a shunting engine and badly injured on the arm, legs and face. She was conveyed to the hospital. BURNS FROM PETROL. Christchurch, June 23. Through a petrol lamp exploding, Eolande M’Lay. aged 15, and Joy M‘Lay, aged 8, the daughters of a railway ganger at Arthur’s Pass, and Clarence George Davis, aged 20, a truck hand, Were severely burned about the face and hands last evening. The sufferers were brought to Christchurch by special train and admitted to the hospital
