ALLIED FOREIGN POLICY.

INTERVENTION IN ASIA MINOR. SETTLING TROUBLE IN SILESIA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received June 24, 11.20 p.m. London, June 23. In the House of Commons, Mr. Austen Chamberlain said that as a result of Lord Curzon’s conference with M Bria nd and the Italian Ambassador in Paris a renewed attempt would be made to terminate hostilities in Asia Minor. The Allied Powers had made an offer to Greece to intervene, and if the latter was not prepared to accept outside intervention the responsibility for the renewal of the struggle must rest with the Hellenic Government. Approval had also been given to a scheme for the progressive withdrawal from the disputed area in Silesia of the Germans and insurgents, leaving 20,000 Allied troops to maintain order.—Aus.NZ Cable Asan.
