BOXING.
DEMPSEY-CARPENTIER MATCH. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. New York, June 22. Jack- McAuliffe, the undefeated lightweight champion, who is observing Dempsey, says the champion's rnost notable failing Is that he burns out quickly. Ho needs a lot of wind for speed in offence. He has no defence, which is wide open, and hr can be hit by anyone fast enough to beat him. He knows nothing of boxing, and has a very poor guard, which Carpentier will be able to hit over and under. The Jersey City State Boxing Commission has announced that Larry Artie will referee st the Dempsey-Carpentier fight.
