ENTERTAINMENTS.

EVERYBODY’S. ROBERT WARWICK IN “THE 14th MAN.” A picture with a title which will puzzle the most discerning person is “The Fourteenth Mai,” which will be presented at Everybody’s Theatre to-night.’ Robert Warwick is the man who is thus numerically addressed, and he portrays a part which is both thrilling and mysterious. The story deals with a man who flees from Scotland to America under the delusion that he has committed a serious crime. He is shadowed throughout by a Scotland Yard detective, which considerably adds to the suspense, but the reason for this shadowing will come as a very pleasant shock. The star has the splendid support of Bebe Daniels, already renowned for her work in several of the Royalty masterpieces, while another prominent member of the east is Norman Selby who, as Kid McCoy, was light-weight champion of the world a few years ago. A big Mack Sennett comedy, “Bride 13,” and a travelog are also on the bilk “The Silver King,” this week’s Paramount Royalty masterpiece, commences at the matinee on Friday, at 2.30 pm. THE PEOPLE’S. LAST NIGHT OF WM. FARNUM. "Wm. Farnum, in “The Joyous Troublemakers,” concludes to-night at the People’s. “The Joyous Troublemakers” adds one more great success to Farnum’s long list of motion picture triumphs. In many ways his characterisation of William Steele is one of the best things he ever has done, in spite of the fact that it is a very different sort of role from any in which he has been seen recently. The story is fresh and bright. It lives up to its merry title. But it is not all laughter; the tears that sometimes lie behind a smile have their place, for it is a story of love and gold —both dangerous things. Louise Lovely and a strong east support Farnum. The bill includes gaettes, and Sunshine comedy. To-mor-row the big all-star Metro 1 hriller, “Someone in the House,” will be presented—the tale of a crook who played safe till love came.
