CORRESPONDENCE.
ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. (To the Editor.) Sir, —The discussion at the meeting oi tne Stratford County Council reveals the fact that Cr. Anderson now realises some of tPe difficulties of this important question. His new suggestion that the whole council should resign is also futile. What is needed is a power board representing an extensive .and influential district, as proposed by the Progress League. Such a board could exercise weighty influence towards surmounting obstructions in the way of progress, and any just representations onade by them for th® general welfare would be heeded. On the other hand, a multiplicity of boards would promote diversity of interests, and each board would jealously conserve Its, own particular interests, however inimical they might be to the general welfare. We must all pull together. Discord, rivalry and the reaching out for parochial advantage are all useless in this matter. Each particular district can be better served by an extensive and powerful board than it can serve itself. There are problems to be solved, but wise consideration will disclose the way, provided we start on a right foundation, viz., an extensive ana powerful board.—l am, etc., J. B. RICHARDS. Stratford, .Tune 20.
