“BRAN PIE”
THE SEASON EXTENDED. Members of the New Plymouth Courtiers Costume Comedy Company were greeted by a very large audience at the Empire Theatre on Saturday night, when the “Bran Pie” season was continued. The theatre was packed. AH the various dips into the “pie” provided something entertaining, and demands on the performers for a reappearance followed every item. Vocal numbers a»nd chorus work were* effectively carried out and the humorous side was kept well to the fore by the company, some clever burlesques being presented, while the audience did not fail to appreciate the local color lent to the revue by references to town topics. The ensembles were very capably done, and those who held the leading parts in the different “turns” put plenty of dash into the work. The season will be brought to a finish by to-night’s performance.
