MR. CHURCHILL’S POLICY* By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, June 14. In the House of Commons Lord Robert Cecil approved Mr. Churchill’s policy and regretted that it had not been carried out two and a-half years ago. General Townshend described the Arabs in Mesopotamia as treacherous. They only respected force and strength. Mr. Harmsworth urged the withdrawal from Mesopotamia and Palestine on the grounds that we could not afford the expenditure.
