SCARLET AND WHITE DANCE. “The decorations at Kawaroa bungalow alone will be well worth coming along to see on Thursday night (tb« night),” rang up Mr. J. Hoskin, the organiser of the scarlet and white dance, last night. “Mr. Tom Petty, who has the job in hand, has really excelled him- s self, so you can truthfully tell the public in the morning that there’s a treat in store for them,” concluded Mr. Hoskin. The dance has been specially plannf.l by Mr. Hoskin, who has been associated with several similar functions in the past, and the proceeds will go towards the funds of the Clarke Memorial Hostel. Special prizes have been donated to the winners of the fancy scarlet and white costumes, and the judges will ba Mrs. A. E. Walker and Mrs. C. H. Weston. A grand march will be the piecode resistance, and everything has been arranged to ensure the success of what is expected will be a notable dance.
