BOXING.
# STRATFORD TOURNAMENT. The Stratford Sports and Pastimes Club have been successful In arranging a featherweight contest between Bert Facoorey, of Auckland, and George Lane, of Dunedin. Both these men are at the top of their class as boxers. Lane has just completed a round of contests In Australia, and returns with the highest credentials from Mr. W’. F. Corbett, of the Sydney Referee. Facoorey is well known in Stratford as a 'fast and clever fighter, and as the club have arranged a firstclass amateur programme a good night’s entertainment may be looked forward to on July 12.
