SHIPS FROM GERMANY.

HANDED OVER TO'ALLIES. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June o, 5.5 p.m. Paris, June 6 The ■ German Government recently claimed that 4,500,000 tons of merchant ships had been delivered to the Allies in accordance with the Peace Treaty, and demanded credit for seven thousand million marks therefor, but the Reparation Commission rejected those figures. The Germans now admit they included 700.000 tons in error, and that a further 1.800.000 tons were captured and seized by the Allies. It is now agreed that only 2.000.000 tons should be credited, and calculations for the value will be on a lower basis.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
