THE BOOKER CUP. The Booker Cup and stake, which Is run under the auspices of the Egmont Cotrrstng Club, attracted a good entry, and some very fine work was witnessed by the spectators who assembled at Okato and Warea, in which districts the competition was decided. Messrs. C. Woolford and .1. Feiivei’ acted as judges and Messrs. F. Doughty, A. McGlven, C. Evetts and -another as slippers. Details are:— First Round.—Commander 3, beat Champion Lass 0; Nix Again 3, beat King Fisher 2%; McDuff 3%, beat Foy’s Choice % ; Sail Home 2, beat Betty 0; King Pirate 5, beat Dimples 1; Somme 5, Jbeat Miss Gloaming 1; Shilleagh 2, beat Grass Hooper 0; Fleet. 6, beat Irish Molly 4^; Rejected Hope 9, beat Merman 4.
