DAMAGE BY FIRE.

BUSINESS PREMISES GUTTED. By Telegraph —Press Association. Christchurch, June 3. A fire this morning gutted the two top stories of a four-storied brick building in Hereford Street, mainly used as offices and show-rooms. The contents were completely destroyed. The damage is estimated at £20,000. Weston Pros., importers of fancy leather goods, and Smail, electrical engineer, were the heaviest losers.
