MR. HOLLAND IN SYDNEY.
PRESS CORRECTS A STATEMENT. By Telecra ph .—Press Assn.—CopyrightReceived June 3, 10.45 p.m? Sydney, June 3. Mr. H. E. Holland, replying to the New Zealand Welfare League’s published criticism of his statements, says that if the Anglo-Japanese Treaty was renewed, under it, in any war declared between Japan and any other country, Britain and her Dominions would be pledged to enter the conflict on the side of Japan. The editor of the Daily Telegraphy in a footnote, points out that Mr. Holland is quite wrong, aa the Treaty ,clearly stipulates against any such obligation. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
