The liner Waimate and the small steamer Kennedy were ready to sail last night, but the boisterous weather prevented them from leaving the port. Providing there is an improvement in the weather, both vessels will get away to-day, and the Tregarthen, which has been lying in the stream since Sunday last, will be brought alongside tc discharge. CORINNA SAILS. The Corinna completed discharging on Thursday night and sailed at 3.30 o’clock for Wellington. WAITOMO LEFT NEWCASTLE. A cable from Newcastle states that the Waitomo left that port yesterday for New Plymouth. The vessel has about 6000 tons of coai consigned to the Railway Department to put out here. She is due on about Wednesday or Thursday. NIAGARA IN QUARANTINE. A cable from Sydney states that the diagnosis of the Niagara smallpox case is indefinite. Tlie patient is making good progress, but the vessel will be detained in quarantine for some days in case of developments. Sixty-six passengers will be released on Wednesday under surveillance. THE BEN ALLA’S PASSENGERS. A London cable says the I. and O. Company have arranged that the Benalla's passengers shall sail on the Hororata on June JI. except about 100, who have already sailed by other steamers. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. ARRIVED. Onehunga, June B.—Rarawa (9 a.m.), from New Plymouth. Newcastle, June 3.—Columbia River. London, June 2.—At London, Vardulia; at Port Natal, Port Maequarrle; at New York, Otarama.

The Makura arrived at Vancouver on Wednesday from Auckland. She is to leave Vancouver to-day, and will arrive at Auckland on June 24. ORARI FDR WELLINGTON. The New Zealand Shipping Company re- ( ceived a wireless message on Thursday from their liner Orari, coal-laden from Newport News, stating that “the vessel will arrive in the stream at Wellington at 5 o’clock tomorrow morning. After putting out her coal, the Orari will load in New Zealand for London. KAI ORA LEFT BALBOA. Cable news has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company that the Kia Ora left Balboa on May 31 for Auckland, Wellington, and southern ports, en route from Montreal. The vessel is due at Auckland on the 24tb inst. THE EASTERN CROWN. The U.S. and A. Line advise that the Eastern Crown is due at Auckland about June 14 from New York. She has cargo for discharge there, and at Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. THE R.M.S. MARAMA. The Marama left San Francisco on May 24 for Wellington. She is due there on June 11, and will sail fin the 13th for Sydney. Her next trip to San Francisco will be made from Sydney,, via Wellington. She will sail from Wellington on June 28. OTAKI FOR WELLINGTON. The Federal Line advise that the Otaki was to leave Auckland yesterday for Wellington, in continuation of her voyage from New York, v’a Newport News and Panama. The vessel is due at Wellington on Sunday with part cargo to discharge. SYDNEY BOATS OMIT LYTTELTON. The Union Company announces that the inter-colonial steamers Manuka and Moeraki will in future omit the call at Lyttelton.
