INCREASED VALUE FOR TARANAKI. FIGURES OF THREE PORTS. Some interesting figures relating to the export of dairy produce from Taranaki during the year ended April 30, 14921, are contained in the monthly abstract of statistics for May, which came to hand yesterday. When compared with the same period in 1920 the total exports from Taranaki (New Plymouth, Waitara and Patea) show an increase in value of £176,552. The figures are: New Plymouth £2,5*27,845 (1920, £2,038,122); Waitara, £468,088 ( £518,520); Patea, £2,101,104 ( £2,390,393). This gives a total for the 1921 period of £5,09.5,764, compared with £4,919,212 in 1020. New Plymouth shows an increase of £516,320; Wai tara a decrease of £50,432; and Patea a decrease of £189,336.
