EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL. RENDERS are required for the delivery of 58 tons of cement (or thereabouts) at the Taungatara Bridge on the Eltham Road, and 17 tons (or thereabouts) of cement to the Waiteika Bridge on the Eltham Road; also for the supply and delivery of 200 cubic yards (or thereabouts) of shingle to the Taungatara Bridge, and 80 cubic yarde (or thereabouts) of shingle to the Waiteika Bridge on the Eltham Road, from the Mangahume or Punehu Rvers. No shingle will foe accepted from the Taungatara River. ♦ Sealed tenders, addressed to the Chairman of the County Council, to the sent to the County Engineer’s Office not later than the 10th of June, accompanied by a deposit of 5 per cent, on the value of the tender. RENDERS will be received by the above Board at their Office, Egmont Street, until 9 a.m. of the 14th June, for the purchase of the present Nurses' Horiie, situated on the Hospital Grounds. The building consists of 24 rooms, including bath rdoms, and all conveniences, and is of two storeys. The successful tenderer will be given possession as soon as the New Nurses’ Home is complete and ready for occupation, which is calculated to be in about three months’ time, and the building must be removed from the board’s property as soon as possible thereafter. ALTERNATIVE Written Tenders, addressed to the undersigned, are invited for the purchase of—(a) All that piece of land situated yn the Makouri Road, Huiroa, 'being Sections 1 and 2, Block XII., Huiroa Survey District, containing 220 acres, be the same a little more or less, together with Ridd Milking-plant, water wheel, and all live and dead stock thereon. Or — (b) For the purchase, of the' land only described in Paragraph (a) hereof. The above property is situated on the Makouri Road, metalled, and within a quarter-mile of the Dairy Factory. The buildings comprise a recently erected 6roomed dwelling, 8-bail cowshed, concrete floor, and an implement shed The crops include 10 acres swedes and 7 acres sown down in oats for spring feed. Practically the whole of the land is ploughable, and the implements are practically all new.
The live stock is in good order, and most of the milch cows are second and third cal vers. The land is carrying 55 cows, 2 bulls, 6 houses, and 11 weaner calves.
