New Plymouth, May 14, 1921. EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL. CLOSING ROADS AGAINST HEAVY TRAFFIC. pUBLIC Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with Section 99, part IV., of the. Taranaki Counties Joint By-law, 1920, and by virtue of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, the Egmont County Council have resolved that the whole length of the roads mentioned hereunder, and situate in the County of Egmont, shall be closed against heavy traffic (as defined by section 81 of the aforesaid By-law) during the months of May, June, July, August and September in the current year; and the Council hereby orders that all heavy traffic (as defined by the said By-law) mufct cease during the aforesaid months of May, June, July, August and September. The roads referred to are as follows: — Oeo Riding: Oeo, Patiki, Opunake■Stratford, Kiri, Watino, Nopera, Puketapu and Hone Roads. Opua Fading: Waiteika Lower, Ka■weora, Ihaia, Namu, Opua and Arawhata Roads. Rahotu Riding: Kina, Turn, Witiora. Manihi, Ngariki, Rahotu, Kahui, Opourapa, Tipoka, Parihaka, Cape, Pungarehu, Newell, Bayly, Warea, Stent, Burgess, Ruakere, Paora and Carrington Roads. Heavy traffic is defined as: (a) being the transportation of any vehicle, engine or machine, the weight of which, together with the load thereon, weighs more than one and a half tons to each pair of wheels; (b) the transportation of any vehicle or things by means of bullocks, irrespective of weight.
