HOCKEY.
ELTHAM v. STRATFORD. Eltham v. Stratford met on Victoria Park, Stratford, yesterday, the game resulting in a win for Eltham by three gaols to one. Eltham’s goals were all scored in the first spell, Stratford replying in the second spell with one goal. There were six “casualties” during the game, and one of these, G. Neale, a Stratford player, who received a severe cut over the eyes, had to receive medical attention. Mr. Pennington, of Eltham. was referee. LADIES’ MATCH. Eginont (Stratford) were defeated by the Stratford Convent Girls by two goals to nil yesterday. Egmont were two players short. Mr. W. A. Betts was referee.
