The Helsingfors correspondent of the Times learns from reliable sources that there is serious and growing discontent in Petrogrtud, owing to the stoppage of all food distribution. There are .rumors of risings and famine in Moscow, whence Zinovieff, Lenin and other leaders are preparing to flee. xhe people’s opposition to the Soviet authorities everywhere is growing. The latter are now afraid to suppress or arrest workmen’s leaders. Red troops are mutinying and are being disarmed and confined to barracks.
Street fighting is prevalent in Moscow and Petrograd, and famine conditions in town and country are rapidly growing worse.—Times Service.
