CUSTOMS DUTY.
PORT OF NEW PLYMOUTH. The sum of £6563 7s 3d was collected in Customs .duty through the port of New Plymouth during May. This re-' presents only half of the amount received in the same month last year,. when the period was a very abnormal one. There is also a decrease in the beer duty. The details are:—
The total revenue collected in Customs at New Plymouth since the beginning of this year is £36,023 17s, and the figures for May bring the beer dutv to £l2OO 9s.
