CORRESPONDENCE.
THE PUBLIC BUILDINGS OF STRATFORD. (To the Editor.) Sir, —Permit me, per medium of your valuable columns, to draw attention to the insanitary and uncleanly condition of the Stratford post and telegraph offices and railway buildings and conveniences. I wish in no way to reflect on the size or architecture of the same, as they are probably as good as the country can afford during the present financial stringency, but what I do take exception to is the filthy and insanitary condition in which they are kept, and in that respect I do not hesitate to say they are a standing menace to the health of the travelling public, and also of the general community, and it would be well if the Borough Council were to instruct their health inspector to see that a transformation is carried out. Failing that, the good people of Stratford need not be surprised if a disastrous epidemic should appear in their midst.—l am, etc., AN INTERESTED TRAVELLER.
