PERSIA.
ACUTE STAGE REACHED. STRONG FEELING AGAINST BRITISH ADVISERS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received May 28, 5.5 p.m. London, May 28. The Teheran correspondent of the Times states the situation in Persia is not unexpected. The question of the employment of British officers and other advisers has recently reached an acute stage and caused an open breach between Reza Khan and Premier Seyyid. Ziaeddin Kahn has retired to t|xe Cossacks’ camp, where the feeling against the employment of British officials is notoriously strong. The Cossack party, besides its strength ajt court, is immensely popular throughout the country. It holds definite views as regards the limitation of the number of financial and other advisers, and considers Persia must find her own feet.— Times Service.
