KILLED BY A MOTOR-CAR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston North, May 26. At the inquest on the body of Edwin John Thoreau, who died on May 16, from caused by being knocked down by a taxi, the verdict was accidental death, with no blame attachable to the driver of the car. BODY WASHED ASHORfi. Gisborne, May, 26. The body of Atfield, one of the victims of the accident last week in connection with the Huanui salvage operations, ha’s been washed ashore.
