LOAN FOR FRANCE.
BOND ISSUE IN AMERICA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, Received May 24, 11.10 p.m. New York, May 23. The J.P. Morgan Company announce that they are heading a syndicate to write a French Government issue of 100,000,000 dollars 7} per cent., twentyyear, external bonds. They will be offered at 95 and interest (yielding over 8 per cent, per annum, subject to redemption prior to maturity). The proceeds will be for repaying France's obligation to the United States, and the purchase of foodstuffs and materials.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
