The Turks are expecting that a Greek offensive will be undertaken shortly, which will decide definitely the diplomatic and military domination of Turkey or Greece. An Adrianople telegram states five thousand Greek reservists going to the front demonstrated against Constantine, shouting: “Vive Venizelos; long live France and England.”—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn. Sir Ernest Pollock (Solicitor-General) and sixty witnesses have started for Leipzig to give evidence at the trial of war criminals, which is expected to last three weeks. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. WEALTH IN GERMAN DYES. Received May 22, 5.5 p.m. Berlin, May 20. The Analyine Dyes n;d Nitre Trust, comprising six companies, made in 1920 a gross profit of nearly 522,000,000 marks, double that of the previous year. The dividends of the six companies average nearly twenty per cent. Sixty million marks were added to the reserve, and there is a large allocation to special funds. FRANCE AND REPARATIONS. Received May 22, 5.5 p.m. Paris, May 21. The Chamber debate on the question of reparations has been adjourned till Tuesday. M. Briand did speak. THE PRINCE AND CADETS. London, May 19. The Prince of Wales is making a ten days’ tour of Devon and Cornwall. He was accorded a great welcome by the public. Inspecting the cadets at Dartmouth Naval College he said he would not inflict a jaw upon them: instead he asked that they be given a holiday. He also stood the 580 cadets sixpennyworth of tuck each.
