Nominations will close to-night for the big events which are being held on the. Stratford A. and P showgrounds next week, under’ the auspices of the Stratford Gun Club and the New Zealand Gun Clubs’ Association. On Tuesday the £lOO Open Clay Bird Handicap will be fired off, and on Wednesday the Clay-Bird Championship of the Dominion will be decided. Many of the leading shots of the Dominion are expected to be present. The shooting will no doubt be of the best order. Shooting will start at 11 o’clock each day, and the public will be charged an admission fee of one shilling. 'Luncheon and afternoon tea will be procurable on the ground.
