ELECTIONS IN ITALY.
FORECAST OK THE CHAMBER. By Telegraph.— Pres* Assn —Copyright Rome, May 10. The Government Bloc secured 253 seats out of 535, the Catholics 103, the Soialists 122, the Communists 14. The Government Bloc, however is non-homo-genous, containing many elements opposed to Signor Giolitti, while the Catholics cannot be relied on to follow him. Signor Gioletti can rely upon a majority to maintain order in the country, but endless dissension is likely to occur if he attempts to carry out his reform programme. An alliance with the Socialists would give him a smaller but more reliable majority. All the Ministers were re-elected. The idea Narionale forecasts that the Chamber will consist of 295 Coalitionists and 244 Opposition. Of the latter 135 are Socialists and Communists, and four Germans from the newly acquired Tyrolese territory, _ -
