ELECTRIC FUEL SUPPLY SHIP.

M. Myokura, chairman of the Japanese ..aval Commission, has announced a contract awarded to the New York Shipbuilding Corporation for a 20,000ton electrically driven combination fuel supply ship. This is the first contract given the United States for twenty-five years. The ship will measure 490 feet at the waterline, with a 67ft. beam, and will be 7500 shaft horse-power, giving a speed of fifteen, knots.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
