Freeman’s Journal declares that Mr. Lloyd George, speaking in his office at the House of Commons on May 3, to Mr. Glynn, ex-Governor of New York, offered to meet De Valera and any Irish leaders unconditionally. Mr. Glynn had the offer conveyed to De Valera, who has now replied that if the Premier makes a statement publicly he will be answered publicly.
