SWIMMING.
THE KRONFELD CASE.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. At a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association the Kronfeld case was considered.
Correspondence in regard to the matter was read, and a motion was moved to the effect that as Kronfeld did not knowingly commit an act of professionalism therefore he did not infringe h’s amateur status. The motion was defeated, as was also one censuring rhe Auckland Centre for laxity in the administration of its affairs. The position, therefore, is that two years must elapse before Kronfeld can apply for reinstatement as an amateur.
Mr. Moss Ballin, the Auckland representative on the council, said he could not remain a member when such a motion was carried to the detriment of a swimmer who thought her was on’.y tarrying out the rule*.
