WELLINGTON CRIME.
SEVERAL PRISONERS SENTENCED.

Tn the wind-screen fraud charges against Thomas accused was found guilty and will be sentenced on Monday. Morris, found guilty of theft from the Trocadero Hotel, received four years’ reformative treatment. He must not attend races and must not lake intoxicants. Lewis Benjamin, for indecent assault on a male, received nipe months’ hard labor, and John James Monaghan, for a similar offence, received two years’ •hard labor. The judge said the case was of a gross nature, but was a moderate case, of its class. Hyland, a youth, found guilty of theft from his employers, was put on probation, being barred from cards and liquor. For forgery Llewelytf Price received an additional year, and Edward Stone got eighteen months.
