ENTERTAINMENTS.
THE PEOPLE’S.
ELAINE KAMMERSTEIN “THE POINT OF VIEW.”
The play “The Point of View,” by Edith Ellis, has been screened by Selznick with fine effect. Elaine Hammerstein is the star of the production. The production is wholesome, has its touches of comedy, even in the midst of the most pathetic situations, and is true to human life. The story itself is absorbing and told on the screen after the manner of the director and scenario writer, it presents one of the most reliable entertainments of the season. The bill includes Gazdtte, comedy and “gnashing Barriers,” and the matiness to-day commences at 2 p.m.
EVERYBODY’S.
LAST NIGHT OF “JACQUES OF THE SILVER NORTH.”
“Jacques of the Silver North,” Mitchell Lewis’ latest Select picture, screening finally at Everybody’s to-night, is a gripping, stirring, virile story of the North-west and the beautiful unselfish love of a man for a woman. Fritzie Brunette plays the lead opposite Mitchell Lewis. A chase on dog-sleds through the snow, and a fight the like of which has never been seen before on the screen, ends this dramatic picture of the Northwoods. The bill includes Gazette, Travelog and Interest films. The matinee to-day commences at 2 p.m.
BIG PROBLEM PLAY MONDAY LOUISE GLAUM IN “SEX.”
“And I learned about women from her” —the oft-quoted lines of Kipling might have been inspired by\Louise Glaum’s performance in the Parker Read production, “Sex”, showing at 'Everybody’s on Monday. Louise Glaum reveals a few things about the feminine mind, and figure, not generally known. A good story with an original twist, staged on a scale of lavishness and magnificence not often seen even on the screen, but its logic is so sound, and its moral so sure that the end justifies the means.
