TECHNICAL SCHOOL WORK.

MORE RECOGNITION SOUGHT

Parr (Minister of Education) by a deputation from the technical school directors’ conference that some departments of State, particularly railways, post and telegraphs and public works, did not sufficiently recognise the work done in technical schools. The Minister said he had made strong representations to the Railway Department that when any boy had put in two or three years in a technical school that time should be allowed for. Mr. Scott (president of the conference) said it was not allowed for in the Marine Department.
