GREAT DECREASE IN COTTON GOODS.
By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyrrght. London, May 10. - Imports for April decreased £77,344,451, exports £46,384,107, re-exports £11,883,757, compared with the corresponding period of last year. The principal decreases in imports are: Raw cotton £26,962,960, hides and skins £5,136,218, dutiable food and drink £4,958,128, oil, seeds, etc., £4,460,036, wool £3,654,090, grain and flour £352,224. The decreases in exports are:—Cotton yarns and manufactures £21,276,562, coal £6,528,265. woollen arid worsted yarns and manufactures £6,013,120; increases in imports, meat £6,002.380; increases in exports, machinery £3,732,639.
