Due Wellington May 18. ■ Due New Plymouth end of May. Waiotapu, from ’Frisco. Arrival date uncertain. CITY OF WINCHESTER ARRIVES. The U.S. and A. liner, City of Winchester (Collett and Co, agents), arrived from New York, via Auckland and Wellington shortly after 8 o’clock yesterday morning, and was berthed ‘at 9 o’clock by Captain McMahon, of the dredge Paritutu, the harbormaster (Captain Waller) being confined to his house through indisposition. The vessel, when berthed, was drawing 21 feet forward and 23 feet 6 Inches aft. The cargo comprises 13,000 cases of benzine, 5000 cases of kerosene, and 5 tons of geperal cargo. It Is hoped to complete the discharge of cargo by Saturday, when the vessel will sail for Wellington. The following are the officers: —Master, Captain E. G. Hoppins; first officer, T. R. Davies; second officer, D. 11. Hughes; third officer, G. L. Philly; first engineer, T. W. Kenyon ; second engineer, J W. Ross; third engineer, K. Macadam; fourth engineer, A. C. Gooder: fifth engineer. G. Wilson; first refrigerating engineer,* A. Wilkie; second refrigerating engineer, C. Anderson; chief steward, P. F. Dennison.
FLORA TO LOAD. The Flora passed the Manukau Heads for New Plymouth at 11.40 a.m. yesterday, and should berth here this morning. The vessel takes in a cargo of cheese for transhipment to the Piako at Wellington. KENNEDY FROM WELLINGTON. The steamer Kennedy left Wellington at 7.40 pm. on Tuesday for New Plymouth with general cargo, but had not put in an appearance here at a late hour.last night. ' It is presumed the rought weather has delayed the vessel. THE MOERAKI'S CARGO. The Moeraki’s cargo from Sydney included transhipments ex Mackarra, Grachus, Taiyuan, Orsova, and Seikal Maru. KAIKOURA REPORTED. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Kaikoura arrived at Colon on May 6 and left Panama the same day for Auckland. The Kaikoura is bound from London, and is due at Auckland about June 3. She will later go to Wellington. RIMUTAKA LEAVES COLON. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rimutaka, which left Wellington for London on April 12, arrived at Panama on Saturday and left Colon the following day in continuation of her voyage. PALOONA FROM MELBOURNE. The Union Company's inter-colonial steamer Paloona was expected to leave Melbourne .yesterday for Bluff and other New Zealand ports. She is due at Wellington about Saturday week and should sail on the return trip to Melbourne the following day. ORARI FOR WELLINGTON. The Orarl, bound from London to Wellington. left Newport. Eyre, Collector of Customs at New Plymouth, is in receipt of the following cablegram :—“The American barquentirie Omega, 62 days out from Hobart to Lyttelton, has not yet arrived.
