RULES FOR TROPHIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. At a meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Association, it was decided to linnit the num- | her of challenge matches played by a defender of a shield to four, and the Nordon Cup to five, the defender in each case to have the right to apply for further matches. It was decided to bar Canterbury, Wellington, Manawatu, Nelson, Auckland, Otago, Hawke s Bay, and Waikato Associations from challenging for the Nordon Cup. STRATFORD CLUB. A general meeting of the Stratford Hockey Club was held in Smith’s Tea Rooms on Monday evening, Mr. Selby presiding over a good attendance. Votes of thanks were passed for the following donations: Mr. P. Thomson £2 2s, Messrs. R. Masters and A. H. Hillock £1 Is, Mr. L. M. Moss 10s 6d. Further officers were elected as follows: — Captail., Mr. L. R. Curtis; vice-captain, Mr. G. Neill; committee, captain, vice-captain, secretary, and Mr. G. Neill; selection committee, captain and Mr. P. Thomson. It was decided that the dance be held on May 26. A strong committee was elected to attend to all arrangements. A practice will be held on Victoria Park on Thursday afternoon, when all, players are requested to attend.
