WOOL SALES POSTPONED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received May 9, 10.50 p.m. Sydney, May 9. The wool sales, which were to be resumed to-day, were again postponed, buyers objecting to the present Customs regulations, but stating that if satisfactorily arranged by Thursday next the sales could be resumed. THE NAVAL INQUIRY. Received May 9, 10.50 p.m. Sydney, May 9. At the Cockatoo inquiry the assistant shipyard manager denounced the fourfifths principle, stating that with the present overhead charges, unless the Government was prepared to subsidise this principle, the dockyard might as well close down. TEN YEARS FOR MANSLAUGHTER. Received May 10, 1.5 a.m. Sydney, May 9. Coley, charged with the murder of Gertrude McGrath last December, was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to ten years’ imprisonment.
