REPARATIONS.
GERMANY UNDECIDED.
ULTIMATUM RESENTED. TENDENCY TO REJECT IT. — #•. By Telegraph.—Press Aasn.—Copyright. Berlin, May 8. The political parties have not reached any decision regarding the ultimatum. The Bavarian Premier has arrived and declares that Bavaria is unwilling to coi&ply with the disarmament demands. The Local Anzeiger says the Allies must put up a Communist Government to sign their ultimatum, as certainly no bourgeois German Government will sign it. According to the Vossiche Zeitung Dr. Mayer, German Ambassador to France, refused an invitation to form a Cabinet composed of members of the Majority Democrats and German People’s Party, who favor non-compliance with the Allied ultimatum. The opinions of members of the Central Party are evenly divided. The local newspapers generally regard the ultimatum terms as incapable of execution. Herr Stinnes’ organ, the Allegemeine Zeitung, declares that if the conditions are accepted Germany will engage to deliver all the rest of her capital.
The Berliner Tageblatt thinks the terms can be accepted if the occupation of the Ruhr does not prevent the financial obligations being carried out.
